LICKING, MO - Each week the KSPR Sports Team will give you an inside look at a local high school athlete. This week we chat with Licking High School senior Ben Denbow.
Ben excels on both the Wildcat basketball and baseball teams. He enjoys hunting and going to the river with family and friends.
Ben reached the rare feat of 2,000 career points on January 6th against Stoutland. He is now 2nd on the schools all-time scoring list behind Dale Stanley, who scored 2,294 points in the mid 60's. Ben has a chance to set the record later this season with his 26 points per game average.

Favorite Team - Miami Heat
The 6-5 guard plans to play basketball in college and study medicine. Despite his impressive stats however, Denbow keeps a focus on the team.
"I want to be the best player I can be," said Denbow. "I would love to win our district and go to state."
Something people likely don't know about Ben is that he is afraid of mice.
Ben is a 3-year All-Frisco League, 3-year All-District, and 1-year All-State player.
The Wildcats are currently 13-2, ranked 10th in the state in class 3.
