SPRINGFIELD, MO - Springfield Cardinals 2nd baseman and top 5 St. Louis Cardinals prospect Kolten Wong treated the Hammons Field crowd Wednesday afternoon with a standing back flip before taking the field in a 5:08 pm game against Midland.
Wong, 21, was a 1st round draft pick by the Cardinals in 2011. He is hitting .317 this season at Double-A with 7 home runs and 15 stolen bases.
Wong along with outfielder Oscar Taveras will participate in the 2012 MLB Futures Game Sunday July 8th in Kansas City.
