SPRINGFIELD, MO - Nixa and Glendale were local teams picking up opening round victories at the 17th annual Kickapoo Shootout Friday.
The Lady Eagles topped Oak Park 3-1 with sophomore Payton DeHart scoring a pair of goals and freshman Shalynn Thomas adding the other.
Glendale beat Poplar Bluff 7-0 led by Missouri State bound senior Molly Brewer's hat trick.
Nixa and Glendale will meet in the Gold Division semifinals Saturday at 10:00 am. The winner of that game will advance to the 3:30 championship on Kickapoo's South Field.
