CLEVER, MO - Clever senior Jordan Burnett had the curveball working Thursday night as he tossed his first career no-hitter in a 6-0 win over visiting Spokane.

Burnett struck out 12 batters, allowing just 2 walks in the 7 inning complete game shutout.  However, Burnett says he wasn't at his best for the newly #1 ranked Jays.

"Every game you have the bullseye on your back being number one, and a day like today we did not play very well," said Burnett.  "It feels good actually to be number 1, but you have to show up every day."

The Jays improved to 9-1 on the season.  They're back in action Friday visiting fellow state ranked Morrisville.
