THURMONT, Md. — Boonsboro held a 4-3 lead after two innings, but Frederick took advantage of an inexperiened Warriors pitching staff to roll to a 19-9 win in six innings at Catoctin.
Boonsboro (3-5) was missing six regulars, including a couple hurlers. The Warriors gave up 13 hits and 12 walks.
Dustin Gregory had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs, and Eric Bitner doubled and singled for Boonsboro.
The Warriors play Urbana in the Classic on Monday at Mount St. Mary’s.

Berkeley Springs splits two games in Border War
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Host Berkeley Springs fell to Northern Garrett 8-2 before no-hitting Salisbury (Pa.) 7-1 behind pitchers Tyler Holt and Brady Spielman.
Northern Garrett scored five runs in the first inning to put the Indians (6-8) in a hole early. Berkeley Springs managed just three hits off Huskies pitcher Jared Fike, while the Indians gave up eight walks.
Berkeley Springs bounced back by scoring six runs in the first inning against Salisbury, and Holt and Spielman took over. Holt worked a perfect first three innings, striking out three, and Spielman sturck out eight and walked two over the final four innings. Spielman also had three hits.
Scott Hessler had three hits and two RBIs, Kyle Appel had two hits and two RBIs, and Kaleb Athey hit a two-run single for the Indians. Spielman and Hessler were named to the all-tournament team.
