Last season Pleasant Hope won the most football games in the school's history, as the Pirates finished with a 2-8 record.  This year, with new head coach Lance Gallimore, Pleasant Hope is expecting to take the next step to becoming competitive in the Mid-Lakes Conference.

Pleasant Hope returns 1,000 yard rusher Jr. Collin Sigrest and he figures to be the Pirate's most dangerous offensive weapon again this season.

The Pirates don't have much experience on the offensive and defensive lines.  They will lean hard on Sr. lineman Dillon Wimmer to bring the rest of the young group along.

Depth may also be an issue for the Pirates, as they have just 28 kids on their roster.  Coach Gallimore won't accept excuses however, "We're focusing on outworking people.  That's our goal for this season."

Last year the Pirates snapped a 33 game losing streak.  This season they hope the only streak they encounter, is a winning streak.  Pleasant Hope opens the season at home on August 26th against McAuley Catholic.
