Fair Grove Head Coach Jason O'Neal has what every coach dreams about ..... a talented and experienced offensive line. The Eagles return all of their starting offensive lineman from last season, which should help open holes for the Fair Grove playmakers.
Two of the playmakers expected to lead the way to the endzone are junior Michael Thomas (QB) and senior Kyle Burger (FB). Both are returning starters who have already had success on Friday nights.
While the starting lineup features plenty of experience, the rest of the roster doesn't have much experience. Of the 52 kids in the Fair Grove program, 26 of them are freshman.
The Eagles finished 6-4 last season, but see bigger things on the horizon. "We have some kids who are hungry to improve on last season", said Coach O'Neal. "We have a tough schedule but I don't think there's anyone we can't compete with."
The Eagles open the season at Buffalo on August 26th. They beat the Bison 66-0 in last year's season opener.
