The turn around story of Laquey's Andre Hilbert is more than amazing...it's inspring. The 6'9" monster in the middle never played basketball until his freshman year. The Laquey coaching staff taught Hilbert the game and changed his life along the way. Hilbert is this weeks Wendy's High School Athlete of the Week.
Additional notes on HIlbert:
Wears size 18 shoe.
Being Recruited by several college teams, including at least one D-1 team.
Tallied 23 points, 22 rebounds, and 10 blocks in his season debut.
Came off the bench for last years 4th place Laquey team.
Does a drill where he must dunk a medicine ball 10 times in 30 seconds.
Wants to study photography in college.
