Right winger J.T. Brown, who scored four goals in 63 games last season, signed a two-year, one-way contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the team announced Wednesday.

Brown, who turns 24 next week, added 15 assists during his second NHL season. He added two assists in the team's four playoff games. Brown finished with one assist in five games for Tampa Bay in 2012-13.

The 5-foot-10 Minnesota native played two seasons for Minnesota-Duluth, and he was selected the Most Outstanding Player of the Frozen Four as the Bulldogs captured the 2011 NCAA championship.

Brown was signed by the Lightning as an undrafted free agent in March 2012.
