The class 3 5th ranked Wildcats used a stout defense to hand Monett just its first loss of the season.
Junior Devin Linenbrink led the Cassville defense to its 2nd straight shutout. Cassville has allowed just 20 points in its last 5 games.
Senior runningback Joseph Guivion led the offense with over 100 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns.
Cassville lost to Monett during districts last season, but knocked off the Cubs in the playoffs on their way to a class 3 state championship.
