DU's Williams Named GLVC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Drury University’s Nicole Williams was named the GLVC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. On the weekend, she tallied four goals, one assist and nine points to help the Panther’s earn a pair of wins.
On Friday, Williams helped her team to an 8-0 win over the Prairie Stars, netting two goals. She also recorded an assist late in the second half on Mandy Little’s goal.
Williams returned Sunday scoring two more goals against Quincy. She netted the first on an assist from Sarah Goodman and Mandi Little. The second tally was unassisted in the 37th minute of play pushing the score to 3-0.
Williams, a sophomore from Moscow Mills, Mo., now has seven goals on the season and 17 for her career at Drury.
On the season, the Panthers are 5-1 overall and remain undefeated (3-0) in conference play. Drury returns to action next weekend when the Panthers travel to Rockhurst and Missouri S&T.
Other top performer’s in the GLVC last week included Northern Kentucky’s Amanda Mason, Indianapolis’ Ashley Seehase, Quincy’s Jenna Boyko, Southern Indiana’s Susan Ellsperman, and Maryville’s Britta Orso.
