HS Football Preview Week: Monett Cubs

By KSPR Sports

This could be the year in Monett.  Many believe Monett is the top team in class 3, with 3-time defending state champ Harrisonville moving up to class 4.  16 starters return from last years district championship team.  The Cubs will need to find a new quarterback, but that's about it.  Beau Bounous and Jacob Bowler anchor a strong line.  Kellen Bounous and Scottie Wilson lead a lightning quick group of skill players.  The defense will be suffocating, the offense will be well above average, and expections are very high.  Hear coach Spencer's entire interview above.

Here's a look at the Cubs' 2008 schedule:

8/29 - McDonald County
9/5 - @ Marshfield
9/12 - @ Eldon
9/19 - Mt. Vernon
9/26 - @ Carl Junction
10/3 - Aurora
10/10 - @ Lamar
10/17 - @ Cassville
10/24 - @ East Newton
10/30 - Seneca
