Former Bear Recruit Headed to ORU

By Mike Scott

Former Missouri State basketball recruit Ken Holdman Junior will play at Oral Roberts University this season. The Tulsa World reported Holdman enrolled at ORU on Tuesday.

Holdman signed with the Bears last year, but was granted his release after a misunderstanding with new head coach Cuonzo Martin.

The 6-1 guard was also heavily recruited by several division 1 football teams. Holdman is listed as a three star recruit for basketball on Rivals.com. Holdman led East Central high school in Tulsa to a class 5A semifinal appearance during his senior season averaging 16.1 points per game.
