SBU Sports Information

BOLIVAR, Mo. — SBU's head basketball coach, Jeff Guiot, has announced that Tomas Brock will attend SBU and play for the Bearcats in the fall of 2008.

Brock is a 6-1, 170-pound transfer from Missouri State, where he played in 20 games his freshman year. He was a four-year starter at Mount Vernon High School, leading his team to a 28-2 season his senior year. That season, Brock averaged over 24 points per contest, and earned recognition as all-state, all-Ozarks, all-district and all-conference.

"This is a great day for SBU basketball and the entire SBU family," said Guiot. "Tomas Brock is a leader, a strong Christian, and a proven winner. Not only is he a great addition for our team, he will fit right in with the mission of SBU. We feel he is the total package. We're very excited."

Brock is the son of Skip and Lori Brock.
