Pictures: Bullets rip through north Springfield gas station
At about 10:35 Saturday night an armed robber entered the Eagle Stop at Grant and Norton. The assailant showed a gun and demanded money from the clerk. When the clerk set off an alarm, the robber jumped onto the counter and started grabbing cash out of the register himself. He also fired several shots in the clerk's direction. Despite the gunfire, no one was injured in the incident.
