Houston Kicks Off Christmas Celebrations

Houston, Missouri is going all out for its holiday celebrations.

The Texas county town is lighting up its Christmas tree tonight.

It’s an interactive tree as people can buy stars to put on it later tonight.

People can dedicate the stars to those in the military or just anyone they want.

Residents say it's a great way to showcase the community.

There’s also a wagon ride going on tonight.

Other holiday events include free movies, the Taste of Christmas and an event called Stuff Your Stockings.

The town has been preparing the holiday celebrations since September.
