Boaters Beware: New Laws Start Thursday

By KSPR News

A reminder for boaters across Missouri, several new laws go into effect Thursday.

The legal blood alcohol content, or BAC, for boat drivers will drop from 0.1 to 0.08.

That's the same limit for car drivers.

Also, boats within 100 feet of an emergency vessel must come to an idle speed.

And the 30 mile per hour night speed limit will expand to all state waterways.
