Stockstill Park Open and Flood-Free

By KSPR News
By Joanna Small

It's not much of a tourist attraction, but it's a local favorite.
Nearly a month after flash flooding in late June filled Branson's Stockstill Park with four feet of water and caused $100,000 in damage to baseball fields, playground equipment, fences, and walking paths, the park is again open to the public.
150 volunteers contributed to the clean up process.
They were able to fix everything but the baseball fields, which were so badly damaged that they'll remain closed for the rest of the year.
According to Branson's director of parks, Stockstill is one of the city's most popular park destinations.
