President Bush Honors Reeds Spring Students

By KSPR News

In a rose garden ceremony Thursday morning, President Bush honored student groups from all over the country for their contribution to enhancing the environment.

A group of Reeds Spring students was one of 10 groups honored.

The students won for their efforts in monitoring water quality in Missouri streams.

Awards also went out to students who collected books for nursing homes, and others who worked with fishermen to switch from using lead weights to other substances that didn't pose a threat to birds.
