Red Cross Opens Shelters

The American Red Cross has opened several shelters in southwest Missouri to help people without power.

Shelters are open in the following areas:
Jasper County
Carthage – Fairview Christian Church, 23220 Grand Ave.
Joplin – St Paul’s United Methodist, 2423 W. 26th

Barton County
Lamar – National Guard Armory, 2nd and Broadway

The Red Cross is also supporting the following shelters:
Benton County, Mo.
Warsaw - Community Center, 181 Harrison St.

St. Clair County
Collins - Collins Fire Department

Cedar County
Stockton – First Baptist Church, 405 Engleton

The Red Cross office in Joplin is without power. Calls are being forwarded to Springfield.
