First Release:

At 7:45am on 3-26-08 the Pulaski County 911 Communications Center notified the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department of a physical disturbance in progress in the area of Howard Lane near Missouri Route 28. As the Deputies were responding to the scene the 911 Center gave an updated report that at least one person had been shot.

The first Deputy on the scene advised at 7:52am that he had one gunshot victim on the ground and that he had secured possession of the firearm. An additional victim with knife injuries was reported a minute later. Both injured persons were transported by the Pulaski County Ambulance Service to the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital for treatment.

At this time it appears that the incident was the result of a domestic disturbance and involved a single-family unit. All parties involved in this incident have been accounted for and no person involved in the incident is still being sought by the Sheriff’s Department.
