UPDATE: Animals rescued in Polk County not only ones in bad shape

By KSPR NEWS

PLEASANT HOPE, Mo. (AP) - As rescuers care for 400 animals taken
from a southwest Missouri home, court documents show six children
living there were as badly infested with pests and skin diseases as
the animals.

A probable cause statement by Polk County authorities
names 61-year-old Virginia Gambriel, who's charged with two felony
counts of child neglect.
