Voters in five communities went to the polls Tuesday.
In Springfield, voters decided on a one-cent sales tax to raise money for the police and firefighters pension fund.
In Mount Vernon, voters were asked to approve a sales tax for roads meant to replace an existing capital improvements tax.
In Chadwick, voters were asked again to approve a bond issue for construction of improvements to the school and a community tornado shelters. The issued failed by one vote in November.
