A short pursuit in Ozark County ends in death early Sunday morning.
A trooper with the Missouri Highway Patrol attempted to pull over a drunk driver traveling eastbound on US 160 near Theodosia.
With lights flashing, the trooper followed the suspect's Chevy pickup across the bridge over Bull Shoals Lake east of town.
The driver then pulled out a handgun and shot himself while still in motion.
His truck rolled into a Missouri Water Patrol vehicle stationed at the east end of the bridge.
There were only minor damages to both vehicles, but the suspect died at the scene.
It turns out the truck was reported stolen out of Baxter County, Arkansas.
The driver has not yet been identified.

I would like to know more information on this accident. The driver's name and where he lived. I heard he was driving fast and playing chicken with the locals in Theodosia.
