Thank you Lord for the life lived by Dottie Rambo. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. I didn't personally know her but I sang her songs and heard them sung. What a gift of songwriting you gave to her. Her testimony will live on. I first met Dottie in the sixties and have sang and admired her songs for years. You really never know the impact a person has on your life until they are not here any longer, so true is is in my lifetime with Dottie, “What a impact”. The mysterious number 11 is a very spiritual number as is the number 29 which is also an 11. Also I thought it special that God called Dottie home on Mother's Day as well. The name Rambo also was significant as she was the real Rambo who put more demons to flight with her songs than anyone in history and she will continue to do so. There will be no end to her influence in gospel music and Christianity.

I love the music of Dottie, but the best about her was her love for the Lord, and her willingness to share her testimony of what the Lord had done and continued to do in her life, and what He could do in the lives of others if they would only allow Him to. My prayers and condolences go out to her family and friends. I can't be sad for Dottie because she has attained that which she strived for all these years. Dottie endured until the end. What a blessing to our family! The first time we saw the Rambo's in person was in the early 70's in Rice Lake, WI. The next time we saw her was on Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. I'm so glad I traveled the 85 miles to see her again. What a blessing.....I wept as she sang the touching words she wrote in her songs. You could definitely feel the presence of the Lord! As Dottie left the stage, people were loudly saying...... I first met Buck, Dottie, and Reba 39 yrs. ago. After that first meeting I made every concert I possibly could. I last saw Dottie in 2005 and she was as beautiful as ever. While I rejoice knowing her suffering here on earth has ended my heart breaks for Reba and her family.

Dottie Rambo was in concert here in Michigan in April. I am so glad I went. She is and was a wonderful gospel woman singing and encouraging others with the words the Lord God gave her to sing. She will be greatly missed. She is singing for Jesus now!

I can hardly believe that "our" sweet Dottie is gone to be w/Jesus ... just yesterday at our Mother's Day Celebration service @ our church, I sang and played on the piano "Build My Mansion next door to Jesus" ... one of the many songs written by Dottie that I have enjoyed over the years. What a gift she had and what a legacy she leaves with us. Her songs were always so anointed and inspirational and always exalted the Lord Jesus Christ. I had the honor of meeting Dottie a couple of years ago in Branson when she was appearing there. Absolutely a legend in Southern Gospel Music. So many have passed away in the last ten years or so. No one else has written so many great gospel songs that have impacted the gospel as well as the country genres. May he family rest in knowing that she is now with the Savior she wrote and sang about for the last 5 decades.
