F.A.A. and N.T.S.B. personnel spent much of Sunday afternoon getting a close look at the airplane, which crashed in a field two miles north of the Mt. Vernon Municipal Airport.
We have been told the pilot Jason Rog, who was taken to St. John's after the crash, will make it despite ownership of Freefall Express Skydiving saying Rog was still in the hospital in serious condition, an upgrade from his listing of critical condition on Saturday.
Of the six parachuters on the plane, four made it out of the plane safely but two of the women, Marnie Fuller and Jennifer Collins didn't survive the crash.
We have learned all six of the women aboard the plane were licensed skydivers, which means they had all completed at least 25 solo jumps.
We've also gotten an explanation on the safety award Freefall Express references on its website.
According to the United States Parachute Association, The Ches Judy National Safety Award doesn't apply to the company as a whole.
Instead, it's an award given to an individual that came up with an innovative safety idea or brought a greater sense of safety awareness to the jump site.
Both Fuller and Collins were employees of Freefall Express and had completed more than 300 and 200 jumps, respectfully.
Funeral and visitation arrangements have been made for Marnie Fuller; both will be held on Thursday.
