If that is the way that a city would treat the people who are charged with protecting them, what kind of people would you eventually end up with on the force. Has anyone looked at how customer service is today? It is because businesses take the lowest paid people that they can get and put them in a position to handle service. I don't think that a police force that is operated by professionals should be forced to stoop to this type of mentality. Hey Mr. Mayor, if you want quality, you're wrong.

Pardon me, I have checked out this whole story. I am following it very closely. Their pay is only secure for 12 months and then what? Sure give you something to look forward to doesn't it. Seems to me that when you have at least 3 brave enough to tell what was said to them and only the mayor saying they are wrong, I would believe the majority.

He only demoted the the position, not the pay. They also had a 15 supervisors and 14 officers. It sounds like the police chief had to have it his way as well. Check out the full story before you call for his impeachment.

I think they need to get rid of this new mayor. Can he be impeached? From what I read, he wants every thing his way or no way.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY DAD TWICE IN HIS LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER IN 40 YEARS. MICRO-MANAGEMENT AND DEMOTING IS NOT THE WAY A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY SHOULD BE RAN. THESE OFFICERS AND THEIR SUPERIORS DESERVE THE RESPECT AND RANKINGS AS THEY ARE GIVEN. I HAVE THE MOST RESPECT FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY; INCLUDING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
