Mountain Grove Man Pleads Guilty in Pipe Bomb Case

By KSPR News

A Mountain Grove man will spend the next 10 years in a federal prison, after pleading guilty to mailing a pipe bomb.

Donald Schamber, 60, will serve the maximum sentence, without parole.

Schamber admitted mailing a pipe bomb in 2007. It was found by a postal carrier in West Plains. The package was addressed to the West Plains police department.

It was designed to explode when it was opened.

Schamber told investigators he mailed the bomb as part of a plot to incriminate his ex-wife's current husband. Investigators say he wanted to restore his relationship with his ex-wife.
