Man Pleads Guilty in Driver's License Conspiracy

By Brad Belote

A Somalian who lives in Kansas City has pleaded guilty to crimes in federal court for his involvement in a scheme to provide driver's license to Somali and Bosnian nationals.

Abdulfatah Osman Farah pleaded guilty to mail fraud. He admitted he obtained a commercial driver’s license (CDL) after testing at the Central Career Center Truck Driver Training in December 2004. Farah completed two portions of the driving exam and received assistance in completing the driving test.

Orbin Dale May passed Farah and send a letter to the Missouri Department of Revenue certifying his exam. May pleaded guilty for his role in the scheme.

Farah helped other students receive their CDL in a similar fashion.
