Speed Zone: Speed Study Could Lower Speeding Limits in Clever

By KSPR News

The Clever police chief and three officers are studying speeders for 30 days. Concerned citizens’ complaints about speeding in residential areas lead to the study.

Officers are focusing their patrolling to neighborhoods to see just how fast drivers are going. The study could lead to lowering speed limits from 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour in residential areas. After 14 days of studying speeders, Clever Police Chief Terry Bean says he hasn’t seen an excessive amount of speeding or reason to lower the limits.
