Clinton Campaign Rolls Into St. Louis

By KSPR News

The Hillary Clinton presidential campaign rolled into Saint Louis this weekend.

The New York senator proclaimed the cowboy diplomacy era needs to end.

If she became president, Clinton promised she would work to restore America’s role as a world leader.

Clinton criticized the way President Bush is running the White House and said his priorities are out of whack.

"But, I never could have imagined 35 years ago that wewould ever have a President of the United States who cared more for no-bid contracts for Halliburton than health care for children, and that is what we have today," Clinton said.

Former House Democratic leader Dick Gephardt introduced Clinton to the enthusiastic crowd yesterday.

About 1,300 supporters attended the event.
