LEE'S SUMMIT, MO—
Many metro residents are already groaning about trying to dig out from the latest round of snow, just a week after the last storm. And as one might expect, snow blowers are flying off the shelves in many area stores. At Lawn & Leisure in Lee's Summit, a customer bought one of the last snow blowers in stock. The store says that he sold out yesterday, but managed to get a few more in stock this morning.
Store managers Earnie Detvietze says that a lot of people will wait until tomorrow to come in and buy, but by then it could be too late.
"People tend to procrastinate on that and wait and see if it really does snow," said Detvietze. "So yeah, we'll get a lot of business tomorrow, if we have any (snow blowers) left."
According to the store, they now have five in stock, but it will be the last snow blowers that they will have in stock this season.
