The National Weather Service issued a Thunderstorm Watch for much of southwest Missouri until Tuesday morning.
The watch includes Barry, Barton, Betnon, Camden, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Greene, Henry, Hickory Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Maries, Miller, Morgan, Newton, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, St, Clair, Stone, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright Counties. Strong storms began building Monday evening in southeast Kansas and central Missouri. The watch lasts through 2:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Heavy rain, hail, heavy wind and lightning are all expected with these storms. A Flash Flood Watch is also issued for the same area.
