LAKEVIEW, Ark. -- Deputies say following tracks in the snow led them to three suspected whiskey thiefs.

Kyle Seimetz, 22, Skyler Evans, 24, and Coty Faulkenberry, 21 are charged with commercial burglary, property theft and criminal mischief.

Police say the three men broke into the Lakeview Liquor store Saturday around 4 a.m. and stole nearly $600 in whiskey.

Police say officers followed the men's footprints around the building, into the woods and to the front door of a home where they found Seimetz, Evans, Faulkenberry and most of the whiskey.

"It's a nice break for law enforcement when they do something like this," said Lakeview police chief David Manley.

Store owner Bobby Anderson said he knows two of the suspects and recognized them as customers.

"I think they should be up for the dumbest criminal of the year award," Anderson said.
