Good morning! First thing is first, today is going to be nice. Temperatures will once again be well into the 60's and we will see plenty of sunshine.
Tomorrow is a VERY different story. A WINTER STORM WATCH will be in effect Saturday evening to Sunday evening as the Ozarks could see a significant winter weather event.

The rain will move into our western counties sometime in the early morning hours of Saturday. At this time it will be an all rain event.

As temperatures drop we will see a switch over from rain to sleet and eventually snow.

I do think our western counties will see the best chance for sleet/snow and our eastern counties could be left out of the mix all together.
I'm very leary on forecasting a ton of snow all together. This is a late winter event and I think the models are blowing things out of proportion a bit. The NAM and the GFS both have 16" showing up for parts of the Ozarks. We will NOT see 16" of snow... but how much will we see is still tricky!
I will give you a peak at one of the regional models. This model has pushed all of the snow well to the west and leaves the Ozarks with mostly rain. Is that possible? YEP! There is a chance the warm air aloft holds on and all of our precip will stay in the liquid form.

Make sure you check back tonight. This is one of those events that change with every model run. It is going to be interesting.
Word of advice, enjoy today because the weekend isn't looking good.
