Springfield's only official Academy Awards watch party was a smashing success for the families that benefit from Isabel's House.
As of Sunday night, the event had raised $100,000 for Isabel's House, the crisis nursery of the Ozarks. The total amount of money raised will rise after organizers include money generated from a silent auction and several raffles that took place during the event.
Isabel's House provided emergency shelters for families involved in crisis situations.
Springfield was one of just 51 cities nationwide selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to host an Oscar Night America party.
This year, the event's organizers, members of the Junior League, held the event at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.
