A Springfield police officer shot a man in the neck early Monday morning.
Police say it started when police were called to a disturbance call. When officers arrived, the suspect took off in his pickup truck. The man led police on high speed chase that finally ended near South Timbercreek Avenue.
Police say the suspect tried to charge them in his truck, so they opened fire.
The man was hit in the neck and taken to an area hospital.
Police say his injuries are non-life threatening.
