KSPR Closeup: Disney Star Alyson Stoner and Respect Tour This Weekend

By Michelle Sherwood

The Respect Tour, sponsored by Ipourlife has partnered with Evangel University SIFE/PBL and 99 Hit FM to bring the Respect Tour to Springfield, Mo.

Camp Rock 1 & 2 and Disney Channel star Alyson Stoner and contemporary Christian artist Jonny Diaz, will be featured at the 2010 Respect Tour.  This event takes place at the Gillioz Theatre, downtown Springfield, Feb. 6, 7 p.m.

Also joining the tour will be counselor and health professional Dr. Juliet Caceres and entrepreneur and organizer Julie Higgins.

This event was organized to encourage and motivate young women, ages 13 and up. “The party-like atmosphere will entertain as well as empower with messages of purity, strength for the future, giving back, perseverance, standing for respect for yourself and others.  There’s a movement stirring among young women and teens for females to begin standing for respect and positive life choices for themselves and others. A generation is rising up realizing their influence and the potential they have as a leader. Together we’re forging forward in making a difference in our schools, workplaces, communities, and world as more men and women are walking along side of each other, impacting our world in a positive way,” said Julie Higgins.

General admission tickets are $22.50; student tickets are $18; and groups of 10 or more can receive a discount rate of $18. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ipourlife.com, at Christians Publisher Outlet, Up Town Angels, or at the door. One-half of the ticket’s price will be donated and divided among three nonprofit organizations: Care to Learn Fund, Kids Against Hunger, and the Los Angeles Refugee Camp of Santa Ana, El Salvador.
