Waynesville, MO graduate will play for Colts in Super Bowl

When the Indianapolis Colts take the field against the New Orleans Saints Sunday in Super Bowl XLIV, a Waynesville High School graduate will be on the field.

Gijon RobinsonTight end Gijon Robinson will play in Super Bowl XLIV for the Indianapolis Colts. graduated from Waynesville in 2003.  He was pursued by several major college football programs but ultimately played at Missouri Western State University.  Robinson went undrafted and signed with the Colts in 2007.  He was injured during the preseason and spent the year on the practice squad.

He returned in 2008 and finished the year with 19 catches for 166 yards.  This season, he caught 9 passes for 62 yards.

Robinson's family will be in Miami for the Super Bowl.
