Christian County prosecutors have charged a Nixa man with conspiracy to commit murder. They say he tried to hire a hitman to kill his wife and stepson.
Jimmie M. Williamson, Jr., is accused of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
According to court documents, Williamson offered $15,000 to have his family killed. He reportedly met Monday with a man willing to commit the murders; that man was an undercover police officer, wearing a wire.
The police officer says Williamson drew him a diagram of the family home. Williamson also reportedly said a GPS monitoring ankle bracelet would serve as his alibi.
Williamson is due back in court at 10 a.m. Jan. 5, 2010.
