Former Salem Teacher Charged with Statutory Rape

Dent County prosecutors have charged a former Salem Junior High teacher with statutory rape.

Prosecutors say Dusty Arzt, 36, had an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student between November 2008 and January 2009. Earlier this month, Arzt resigned from his coaching position.

His arraignment is set for December 3rd.
