14 Year Old Runway Found Safe After Citizen Tip

By KSPR News

Baxter Co., AR Sheriff's News Release:

Fourteen year old runaway, Kendall Jean Synder, was found safe this evening at a local apartment complex in Mountain Home.

At approximately 5:15 pm, Sgt. Kevin Boucher, of the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, received a citizen's tip concerning the whereabouts of a 14 year old runaway that authorities had been searching for since last Thursday. The Citizen told Sgt. Boucher that they had first observed the runaway posted on the Baxter County Sheriff's Website. This evening, they observed the same female going into an apartment at a local apartment complex.

Acting on the tip, Sgt. Boucher found the runaway at the apartment and took her into custody without incident. Sgt. Boucher transported her to the Sheriff's Office and turned her over to Juvenile Authorities.

The investigation is continuing and charges are likely to be filed against those who assisted the juvenile in hiding from authorities.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the citizens of Baxter County, and our many FaceBook fans, who provided numerous tips and leads that eventually lead to the safe recovery of Ms. Synder.
