At a one-of-a-kind race track in Branson, visitors get the chance to jump on the a Segway and take their balance out for a test run.
"I've seen these for years and I've always wanted to try one, so today was the day," says Alice Hill, who recently stepped on a Segway for the first time.
"This is a hoot, i love it," says her husband, Hirum Hill.
Something most are familiar with from the movies, is now at their fingertips, at Segway: Feel the Excitement.
For $20, visitors get a training course, and twenty minutes on the track.
"Oh, that's incredible," said Betty Ann Tucker, who was visiting from Houston, Tx.
"You got to be thinking so you know when to lean forward and when to pull back and when you're turning on the curves," says JoAnn Knott, who also took a Segway out for a spin.
It's an experience unique to Branson. Unless, of course, you buy your own, which is part of the business. A new one goes for $5,000.
"I need one to ride to work," jokes Alice Hill.
As Hill and Knott watched their husbands ride, they knew a discussion about a purchase could be just around the corner.
"Some people's got 4-wheelers, i'd have a 2-wheeler," jokes Hirum Hill.
But for those that just want to try something new, the Segway track is the perfect place.
"It's easier than i thought it would be, and it's a lot of fun," says Tucker.
People stop by nervous, but after learning the ropes, they're zipping around in no time.
The managers at track told us it's the only one they know of in the world.
We found a couple in Germany and one in the UK, but no others in the United States.
Many cities, including Branson, offer guided Segway tours, but not an actual track.
Segway: Feel the Excitement is open through Thanksgiving.
