An Ozarks community is considering buying a boat to assist with its water worries.
A flood hit the Phelps County community of Newburg two weeks ago.
The city clerk says damage was not extensive enough for a federal disaster declaration.
One council member hopes the Department of Natural Resources will allow the city to clear debris from creeks to prevent future flooding.
Another council member says the city should purchase a small boat to evacuate residents in case of another flood.
