Baxter Co. Man Injured in Accidental Shooting

  The Baxter County, Arkansas, Sheriff's Department sent out this press release late Saturday night:

  On November 14, 2009 at approximately 4:30 PM, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office and the Clarkridge Fire Department, responded to a 911 call of an accidental shooting in the Clarkridge, Arkansas area.

  22-year-old Scott A. Courtway of Mountain Home, was removing a 50 caliber muzzle loader from his vehicle when the weapon accidental discharged, striking his father, 45 year old George Alan Courtway, also of Mountain Home, in the abdomen.

     George Courtway was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center and the time of this report, was undergoing emergency surgery.
