The man who escaped from the McDonald County jail Friday is back in jail Saturday night.
Police captured 36-year-old Walter Salwasser early Saturday morning near the Tyson Food Plant in Noel, just eight miles from the jail in Pineville.
Sheriff Robert Evenson says a Noel police officer encountered Salwasser about midnight when he responded to a suspicious person report.
Salwasser bolted from the officer, then pointed a handgun at him.
The officer fired two shots at salwasser before losing sight of him.
A massive manhunt lasted four hours before police found Salwasser.
He's being held on forgery charges and now charges related to his escape.
