MN Boy Who Fled to Avoid Chemo is Cancer-Free

By KSPR News

The treatment he fought- even fled from- is over, and it appears to have saved his life.

13-year-old Daniel Hauser, the Minnesota boy who ran from authorities with his mother when he was ordered by a judge to undergo chemotherapy for his cancer, underwent his final radiation session this week.

His family says daniel is now cancer-free.

You'll remember the boy stole the national spotlight in February when he claimed his religious beliefs prevented him from continuing chemotherapy to treat his Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

The family are members of the Nemenhah Band, a religious group based in Weaubleau, Missouri.

A Minnesota judge says if family services and Daniel's doctor give him the green light he will close the case.
