Some Ozarks Schools Close Because of Flu

By Natalie Swallow

Some Ozarks schools are closed because of a high number of absences due to flu symptoms and illnesses.

Springfield Public Schools closed Delaware Elementary for the remainder of the week after 30% of students there were absent because of the flu.

Crocker School District in Pulaski County has closed for the remainder of the week as well with nearly a third of its students out sick.

Students at Phelps County School District in Edgar Springs will also be out the rest of the week because of flu and virus absences.

All these schools are being sanitized and are scheduled to reopen Monday, October 19.
