A Nixa lineman in a bucket truck received an accidental electrical charge Wednesday (8-12). The public works director says it happened east of Main street while a crew was working on a distribution line.
"He received a shock; he is in the hospital in good spirits; all in all he's doing well," said Public Works Director Doug Colvin.
Colvin would not name the man. He said he is a long time lineman, but new to the Nixa Public Works Department.
He says the crew was doing typical linework.
"He came in contact with an energized line somehow," Colvin said.
