Longtime Branson entertainer Mickey Gilley is hospitalized and has canceled some of his summer performances.
Gilley had surgery Tuesday and a spokesperson for the theater said he is doing fine. When we called the Branson box office they said his July shows have been canceled and the next planned performance for Gilley is August 1st.
Two source confirm KSPR Gilley fell backwards off a three foot step. One person says he “lost all feeling”.
The 73-year old country music singer and entrepreneur came on the national scene in 19-80 when his Texas bar Gilley's was featured in the movie “Urban Cowboy”.
